Our bodies may be aging, but we are ageless. Aches and pains in the body are not an inevitable part of aging. You are not doomed to develop the diseases of your ancestors. "Wear and tear" in the joints should only happen if you are an athlete and abusing your body with repetitive stressful actions. Hot flashes and weight gain can be eliminated too by simple lifestyle changes.
I will help you develop health promoting habits. You will feel lighter, healthier, and happier. You will get stronger, more flexible, and improve your balance. You will have more clarity (no more brain fog), and increase your intuitive powers.
How is this possible? I will teach you health promoting nutrition, how you can get all the nutrients your body requires without supplements, combined with the ancient techniques of Raja Yoga which promises optimal health; physical, spiritual, and emotional.

As a dedicated student of yoga since 2003 and a yoga teacher since 2007, I opened my yoga studio, Yajamahe Yoga & Sacred Sound Sanctuary as a space for healing and spiritual growth on February 1, 2020. Six weeks later, due to a global pandemic, we were forced to close our doors and begin teaching all our classes online.
Teaching daily virtual yoga classes inspired me to create an online coaching program to help women beyond my local community combat their struggles with aging.
My healthy aging program, Healthy Aging Through Raja Yoga is designed to help women heal those aches and pains, lose weight, gain strength and flexibility, and age gracefully. Using ancient yogic techniques to overcome obstacles and increase intuition, I will help you create health promoting habits which lead to optimal health, inner peace, and overall well-being.
I began practicing yoga after the death of my husband. Suddenly, I was a 45 year old single mom with two small children. As the only parent my young daughters had, I realized that I needed to become and remain as healthy as possible. So, I changed my diet and found a yoga teacher.
After having studied with world renowned teachers over the course of four years, I met my guru, Sri Dharma Mittra in 2007, who continues to be my most influential teacher.
I completed my first yoga teacher training in 2007, followed by Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with David Swenson that same year. I completed the 500 hour (2010) and 800 hour (2013) Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Dharma Mittra, and continue to study with my mentor, Andrei Ram Om, and yoga philosophy teacher and Sanskrit scholar, Manorama, who gave me the spiritual name Yaja Devi (worshiper, priestess).
Other healing modalities in which I am certified are Thai Yoga Massage, Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance, Sound Healing, and Plant Based Nutrition.
As a yoga teacher and wellness coach, my passion is helping women improve their health naturally, so they may live their best life.
